I was surprised, but it took Yahoo longer to send traffic my way than Google too. I believe Yahoo places more emphasis on having unique page titles and even meta decsriptions. Having unique page titles is a much and while the meta descriptions won't necessarily mean you'll rank better I think Yahoo frowns up sites that don't have uniqe ones on each page.
I did start ranking better in Yahoo once I installled a plugin for WordPress to create uniqe descriptions for each page.
I've also hear that paying to be listed in the Yahoo directory can improve how well your site does in the organic results, but I can't offer any proof. Just something I've heard or read.
After looking at the first site in your sig though I think the issue is mostly one of not having unique page titles.

Glenn it could very well be just like Chris said. Different people tend to use different search engines. It's not fair to generalize, but Google tends to draw more tech savvy users. I too get a lot more Google traffic than any other search engine. Much more than what each search engine's market share would seem to predict.
Each engine does use a different algorithm too so doing well in one doesn't necessarily mean doing well in another. Yahoo probably puts more weight on on-page optimization, though links are still going to be dominant in Yahoo. Yahoo seems to care more about having unique page titles and unique meta descriptions on every page from what I can tell.
But it really just may be that your visitors use Google more than any other search engine.

as i said in this one other thread - work on your pages optimization and some nice links and you will rank. yahoo is in the middle, its not 2 difficult to rank in yahoo, yet you realy got to work hard. good luck.

I have another theory - if you use Google Adsense, Yahoo blocks your site. My site is 2 1/2 years old, ranks exceptionaly well in Google but only the index page is listed in Yahoo. It is a good quality, informative PR4 site and yet Yahoo chooses to ignore it. As far as I'm concerned they are affecting their own search results, they're clearly not too bright at Yahoo.

I don't think Yahoo is biased against sites using AdSense. I have AdSense on my site and all of my pages are indexed in Yahoo. I do get more traffic from Google, but that's normal since more people use Google and more of my target audience uses Google than average.
I still get traffic from Yahoo.
You may have an audience that primarily uses Google or you may simply be doing things that Google gives more emphasis than Yahoo. I don't buy the conspiracy theory though.

Submit your site map (urllist.txt) to YAHOO. It is one of the best way to improve your SERP in Yahoo.

As Vangogh mentioned, titles and meta descriptions can make a big difference. Make sure your meta descriptions are unique to each page and has a call to action. It can increase your click-thru-rates.

You dont get any visits from yahoo simply because you are not ranked high on their serp. Try improving you yahoo serp by adding more backlinks. These is said to be the main factor of ranking high in yahoo.
