Hi:
I start a new site about 2 months ago that got indexed in google and msn in less than one week beacause i have high PR links pointing to my site, but at this time my site is still not appearing on the yahoo index. I remember those days (1999) when i create my site and just take a couple of weeks getting listed in the yahoo directory, now i can't even get in to their index.

Different SE's have their own ways and strategies and i think nothing can be done but to wait for getting a site to be listed in the indexed (getting indexed).

I remember i had to wait for 4 months for a site with nice traffic already to get listed in Yahoo

The old PR thing crops up again.

Yahoo! isn't all that different than any of the other two...their spider isn't as fast, but if you're waiting two months, then you simply aren't promoting yourself well enough.

For starters, pop a link into your forum signature or at least your profile. You've posted...take advantage of it.

Hmmm. Yeh. I rarely have a site take longer than 1-2 weeks to at least get the homepage spidered in all 3 major engines. How backlinks do you have? Are you steadily building links and promoting your site?

Why you don't submit your new website to yahoo directory this time? You can get a review in 7 days, and if everything is ok, you will be indexed.

For yahoo search engines, just get more backlinks and wait.

Same here I launched mine 3 weeks ago and some links pointing to it have been found but googlebot is just not following them. I also had a friend email me quite concerned as he's new domain is still not indexed after 2 weeks.

I might be wrong but what i think is, either the new bot that seems to very slow is the cause or because of the recent/ongoing update Google are waiting to include new domains until it's more settled. I think we need to give it another couple of weeks before we get really concerned.
