I won't put the kobosh on Yahoo yet. They are now the largest search engine on the net. As a matter of fact ...
Quote:
The internet property and search engine Yahoo! said that its search index now includes some 20.8 billion web pages and images, nearly double that of Google.
The true size of Yahoo!'s index has never officially been revealed, although most industry watchers pegged it at between six billion and eight billion, compared to more than 11 billion for number one search engine Google. But Monday's announcement means that Yahoo! has the biggest index among the major search engines - giving Yahoo! bragging rights within the industry.

Also they are in deals right now to purchase Alibaba.com. Alibaba operates two online business sites--Taobao.com, an online auction site, and Alibaba.com, an online trading site. Both were ranked among the world's top 40 Web sites by Alexa, the Internet-monitoring service.
Yahoo is working on something ... they have been launching a lot of new stuff lately. Plus I have a feeling Google is starting to lose the interest of their users. Their results aren't as revelant as they use to be. You have to really know how to search in order to find what you want. For those who don't know how to search ... Yahoo brings more revelant information to the forefront.
Also ... make note ... Yahoo Messenger is the number one instant messaging program in the world at this moment. Yahoo Messenger brings all of Yahoo's services into one program. Something Google has yet to incorporate.
