Why? What difference will it mean if there is?

Unless that site is in exactly the same market place you can draw no useful inference from knowing that site 'A' has more daily traffic than site 'B'.

Well said Chris. So true. And common sense.

Even if they are in the same market, they may have developed their links, content, ad campaigns, etc completely different.

Good point as well. Traffic means nothing if it's not converting. A small amount of good traffic that converts is much better than a buttload of crap traffic that doesn't convert.

If I have the most uninteresting site in the world that is selling some widget, I can get tons of traffic to the site by dropping links on other high traffic sites with link text "nake pictures of Britney Spears" but if they get to the site and I don't deliver on what they are expecting and show them a sales page for my widget then they are not likely to convert... and that traffic was worthless.

When the traffic comes to the site you must get something....
You can not take clicks to the bank ....or mail them an offer...

100 visitors that all convert are better than 1 million that leave the site...
35k....hmmmm...

Yes. Of course there are sites receive more traffic than yours from Yahoo. And it depends on the subject of their website and number of searches for those subjects. But as i know 35K visitors from Yahoo is very good. How many visitors do you receive from Google?

definitely makes sense ... being new, I did not think about it in that manner but it makes sense that the traffic means little if it is not productive

Yahoo is good too, but not as popular as Google. Yahoo Answers is a good choice, you could have a try.
