In case you didn't know already, Yahoo! announced this week that they will no longer offer paid inclusion (SSP - Search Submit Basic and Search Submit Pro) after the end of the year. I'm sure this is in preparation for Bing taking over their organic results.

SSP has always been controversial since participating in the program gave a huge ranking boost in the organic SERPs to participating sites for the keywords they are targeting. Nice to see them eliminate a way that sites could "buy" rankings (although our company spent 10s of thousands per month participating). It did provide a good ROI for us, but I don't think paid inclusion has a place in organic search.

Its good to see this announcement. Yahoo is improving there search capabilities from last month.

They should have done it long time ago. Paid inclusion is not so good IMO.

Yahoo! comes up with the new rich in ads in search. With this new channel Yahoo’s Rich Ads in Search (RAIS), the ad can be either image or video depending upon the advertisers objective and this ad can be clicked-through to a web site. Please refer the post below
