Im wondering if yahoo had pagerank because when i search on google, my site comes out, but when i use yahoo, it never did. Is there a way i could improve my ranking yahoo at the same time in google?

Interesting question. I have never personally seen Yahoo pagerank. But, I'm sure in the months to come you will see Yahoo coming out with such a device.

PageRank is purely a Google "invention"

Some years ago Yahoo! briefly played with a similar useless toolbar gimmick called WebRank, thankfully it only lasted a few weeks as a beta addition to their toolbar.

If you do not appear in Yahoo! results it's probably because you have followed the generic "get more links" non-advice.

No they dont just google use this joke tool I believe msn have page rank too but i dont quite understand how it works

Its because Google is not showing all their backlinks...

As far as i know, Yahoo has no counter part yet of Google's PageRank.

Only Google has Page Rank but these past few months there's a gossip that Yahoo will now release Pgerank which they call it "Hermonic Rank"

I would guess that Google has assigned Yahoo's home page a PR of 9 or 10.

There should be something like trust rank. But mainly yahoo thinks that you have a good "PR" if you are in their index. The ones that are really not there - bad "PR". The question is really tough.

Probably because it doesn't exist!
Just another case of somebody reading something they don't understand and making the rest up!.

it stems from this Yahoo! patent which is 2 years old now. and this related paper (PDF File) which refers to "Harmonic Rank".

I think it's sort of like Microsoft's Oblunic Rank?

It is really a work of google . But yahoo is the competitor of google . So we can expect the similar pagerank form yahoo .

Google give Yahoo PR of 9

Wrong, google can not "give" them selves a PR of 10, that would be manually editing the system. Google had to earn there PR just as much as everyone else. Google just earned it faster because everyone had to explain google's page rank from a google page.

How Google really earn that Page Raking I not sure...maybe they did "tweak" their system to achieve it.
