Hello all,

I have a few sites I am currently working on. I have good placement within the Google index for a number of keywords but I have found my Yahoo (and msn) SERPS are terrible. I admit, I have coded the pages with Google in mind but doesnt Yahoo also appreciate SEO friendly pages?

Are there any tricks to getting better placement in the Yahoo directory? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and take it easy,
Dave from TPCS

Like ALL search engines, Yahoo! "appreciates" USER friendly pages.

Thanks for your reply, I agree that the pages should be "user friendly".

What is bugging me is that we have, for instance, a search term that we place number 5 out of 9 million on the Google SERPS. In Yahoo, nothing! The site I am referring to is 2 years old, gets over 50,000 page views monthly from Google but doesnt even show up in Yahoo. If I search for the actual domain I see that it is listed, but when I search Yahoo for targeted keywords I can't even find the site.

I am not comfortable with putting all my eggs in the Google basket. In order to increase ones online presence, getting decent results from Yahoo and MSN is important. Not to mention the periodic algo changes! If you are strictly optimized for Google and Google decides to change something, you can be totally out!

It's almost like diversifying a stock portfolio. You want to have your hands in a lot of different things so you can better survive when one market takes a dive.

Anyway, thanks for your reply.
