Yahoo is a strange beast. I've always had great luck with them and I have never tried to optimize for them. I always optimize for how I would want a site to be organized if I was a search engine. Easy to navigate, your most important sections prominent and easily accessible from every page. Making it easier for your users to get around will help in search engines too because users are the ones that build links for you if you have good content, which everyone should have if they wish to make any real long term impact within the search engines.

I have done everything that I've read and still I'm not getting ranked or seeing anytraffic. My site is preety good from what I see. I'm doing something wrong.

You have to go to the webmasters area of yahoo to see what is the problem!

At earlier I was #2 in Yahoo and the same problem was with me too. Top ranking but not much traffic. I put some fresh relevant content and I must say it helped me not much but sure a bit.
I can rely on yahoo in everything i need. From hosting to shopping to online connection (i need every day of my life) to facts and beauty tips etc. I am really amazed how yahoo started that it helps a lot of people plus i never experienced any problems with it.
put ur own logo in the browser instead of yahoo's.
create a logo, upload it, and put this in ur head:
<link rel="icon" href="logo.jpg" type="jpeg">
(except "logo" will be ur file name and obviously, if it's not a jpeg the type will equal something else) if people bookmark ur site, it'll have ur logo too
which is nice....
I don't get traffic from yahoo either.Do I have to submit my blog? I haven't submitted my blog to google but the posts get indexed just after publishing them.
How often is that term being searched on Yahoo. You could guess by seeing the returns using Google keyword tool and than assume Yahoo has 30% of the same traffic level (see comscore.com July search results for percentage criteria).
