I have a site and all pages are indexed in google. And each time I update or add a page often it get indexed within a couple of days by google but in case of yahoo its too long since then i have submitted my site to yahoo but still just a few pages indexed in yahoo. Can any one guide me about how to get indexed quickly in yahoo like Google.

If Yahoo is indexing your pages I wouldn't think any more about it.

This kind of thinking puzzles me. Where does it end? Suppose you find a way to speed Yahoo up and Yahoo becomes faster than Google. You then return and ask how to speed Google up because Yahoo is quicker. And so on...

It's impossible for 2 search engines to work at identical speeds, so you will always be asking how can I speed up SE1 because SE2 is faster. I would imagine that even Google's speed varies from day to day simply because its volume of data varies from day to day.

You cannot do anything about speed but you can monitor your AwStats to see
how often Yahoo visit your site and now many MGs it crawl.

Thanks a lot for your replies and now I understand that it is yahoo's strategy and we can not do anything about it. And it is not possible to be identical for two differnt search engines.

If you want pages indexed faster get more inbound links and then the robots will visit your site more often due to the extra inbound links of other sites.

Sites which get crawled often like forums are a get for this, any site which updates often and the search engines know they update often will get crawled more often thats why forums are good for this.

If your sites are related you might wanna contact me about a link exchange as my sites do well in Yahoo.

Well......it is ok now as we can not get quick indexed in yahoo as like google because yahoo takes lot more time to index a website and yahoo's strategy to index pages is time taking and we can ot change it so we focus on our work and let the yahoo to index pages as per it's strategy.

They maybe slower at it but if they visit your site more then you will still get indexed quicker, but fine if you dont want to listen thats cool dont start arguing I am wrong though, you asked for advise I give you advise you then have the nerve to turn around and say I am wrong.

Indeed........but there's no way to get indexed quicker in yahoo like google because of their different indexing strategies.

Why ask for adcise if you know best?

Thats what I am saying though I think you can get indexed faster going of my experiances of getting new sites listed but if you dont want to listen then fine but dont aruge with people trying to give you advise when you asked for the advise thats just plain rude. Which is what I tryed saying in the last post I made and then you still come back again and argue the toss again.

If you want to belive that it makes no diffrence to and cool but dont ask for advise on how to get indexed quicker if your answer is going to be "but there's no way to get indexed quicker in yahoo like google because of their different indexing strategies" to anybody who then gives you advise.

If you dont want to listen to my advise of simpley get backlinks and submit a sitemap then fine but I know I can get sites indexed on all search engines within 4 days by using this method. I was indexed on MSN within 2hours of the domain being live and on Google within 24 hrs of the domain being live. I really dont get why people make out like its hard to get indexed and ask how to make it quicker cos they have waited for months.

After looking at the cached page it was actually from the 12th so within 48 hrs they had my sites details it just took them another 48hrs to add it to there search results.

I dont get why everybody likes to think they know everything and dont listen to anybody when it comes to SEO, I am not the type of guy to talk about something I no nothing about, I will not tell you advise on something I have not done myself.

With Yahoo indexing, you actually need to wait. However, Google has a large market share in search so I would focus more on Google and just sit back and let Yahoo do their thing in indexing your page. Getting links for P4 ranking sites and up will help you quite a bit.

OMG does nobody listen I only just posted a thread saying how to speed things up as fast as you can, then someone comes along and says you carnt do anything but wait?????

How long do you think you have to wait then?

People spend alot of time asking about SEO and getting indexed but don't realize how easy it is to get your site crawled very fast.

well i just submit my new sites/pages to propeller.com (the old netscape) digg.com and the yahoo spiders some running every time....thats all I do and it works fine

It can be done in one single step.

Get a linking from a webdirectory which is already well indexed in Yahoo. Your webpages will be indexed by yahoo in no time. The directory should provide you with the deep linking or some description area, where you can write a short seo-friendly description about your site.

Try to use yahoo's statistics to increase the yahoo' collect of your site.
