Dreamweaver FTP

every now and then my dreamweaver FTP_client has a problem connecting to my host. (Mind you I never make any changes to the site definition) I keep getting this erroer message. "An FTP error occured, cannot make connection to host. The remote host cannot be found." How do I avoid this?

Who knows, could be several reasons.

Firewall
DNS problems with your PC, Your ISP, Your host

Are you using passive FTP because some firewalls will block the negotiation as a potential infiltration attempt

yeah same thing happened to me. Didnt understand what was going on and then I realize I had the pre-installed Firewall where my internet connection was and didnt know I had it on, so I turned it off and everything worked fine again!!
