I have very cheap hosting so I don't have detailed stats, but from looking at my banner stats, there are an average of 4800 banner ads shown a day over the past 2 weeks (all I have stats for), and I have 1 banner per page from 2 different ad networks. I spent some time using different ad networks before I settled on these.

How does the site generate income? How much?
Currently it makes about $7 a day from banners and pop-overs ($200 a month). I made about $60 in adsense revenue in July, but banner ads are more profitable for me, since the payout isn't as high as I thought it would be, and Google delivered basically the same 5 ads to the site all the time, so the CTR wasn't that great. Maybe if someone was able to integrate the ads better than I did, they could be more successful with it, but I was happier with the banner ad revenue, since it didn't take any real changes to the site to make them work.

Who develops content and administers the site? How much time does it require?
I redesigned this site about a month ago to use mambo so that adding information would be very simple. I spent about a weekend setting up RSS feeds for the news content, adding all the content for the dictionary/glossary, etc. My hope is that the glossary will move up the search engine rankings and drive more people to the site. You could get away with spending a couple of hours a week updating the book reviews, tutorials, etc, but I haven't eve been doing that. I was thinking about just turning the news feeds section into the front page so that the site didn't need to be maintained at all really, but I decided to see if I could find someone to take better care of this site than I have.

What is the monthly cost of running the site?
My hosting costs about $4 a month, and has been very reliable.

Reason for selling?
I was thinking about trading currencies myself, and thought this would be a good way to make some additional money by passing along what I learned, but I never did, so I don't have much interest in the site.

Will you help with the transition of the site to the new owner?
Of course.

Does the site have an ezine or newsletter? Number of subscribers?
No, but someone who has more knowledge or interest in providing original content could probably generate a following.

What all does the site include?
The domain, site, and backend database.

do you have:

1. month by month traffic and income stats? (including stats from the past 12 months before you owned the site)
2. detailed records of all advertising done to promote the site?
3. how much was the site purchased for two months ago?

I have attached stats from one of the banner networks I am using for the site that shows how many banners have been server each day for the past 2 weeks (including today up to 10:30 AM) as proof of traffic and revenue. I also have been making a couple of dollars a day between adsense, and the pop-in ad I have been displaying. I do not have stats from the previous owner, and I have not done any advertising myself. I know the last owner advertised using adwords, but I don't have any idea what he spent. I have spent high $xxx on the site and paying for hosting for a year, not including the time I spent setting it up since I didn't like the old style of the site. There is a reason I would be willing to let this go for about 6x monthly revenue, which is the lack of historical information. If I don't get any decent offers, I will just let it go as is and collect the checks for doing next to nothing. Let me know if you want to make a bid or want any more information.

thanks, that gives me an idea what it's doing today: approx. $5/day ($150/mo) + adsense. do you have the adsense records?

1. so, did you not get any stats fromt he previous owner prior to purchasing from him? that's what i'm looking for: income and traffic stats.

2. traffic stats since you've owned the site?

3. btw: pop-up ad isn't fully deploying on my computer.

Again, I did not get any proof of traffic or revenue from the previous owner, nor do I have any traffic stats besides what I posted here. I use Deltis and Paypopup ads. I do have some stats for Paypopup, but I haven't had them on the site consistently.

I agree, but I think the traffic is worth more than that.
