I have a Myspace PHP Script (site) if anyone is interested. The script I have is exact like http://everyonespace.com and it is very similar to http://myspace.com itself. The script I have dont include the latest myspace features such as video hosting... but other than everything is included.

I did not code the Script but I have bought it from a Company with reselling rights, whenever I need to, and so now I dont have any use of it as I have other projects on hand that I'm working with. So I'm selling the Script to anyone else that might be interested. I can only sell this script once, so please bid sooner....

I know this person from deval2000 because he had messaged me on AOL trying to purchase the script, but could not because we could not verify him, I am 100% sure he does not have the script, if he does, ask him to upload it somewhere else and show.

Even if he has the script why will anyone pay him $300 for a pirated script (which can be closed at anytime by law) when the original is available in $399.99.

Please be aware he is not the creator of the script, and merely a thief.

Yeah.. cons are everywhere... even the original makers of the app as funducoder is tring to claim this to be will use extortion and blackmail tactics to get your money.

I was one of the unfortunate victims who purchased their script some months ago. I never installed the script for months because I was busy. They just got my money and that was the last they heard of me. I went to start using it and asked for the latest version since I never installed it. I was told this one is free, but anymore will cost me, and no more support unless you pay us. Here is what I wrote in reply:

I never even installed the script yet. I would like it if my support begins from the time I actually start to use it. This should also allow me to get one 'free' upgrade as well at a later date. I should not be penalized for purchasing the script earlier in the year and only get to using it later and have additional charges taxed on for it.

Please let me know if this sounds as reasonable to you as it does to me.

Greetings,
Sorry but it was written in the agreement when you purchased that you get single free upgrade and 6 months free support, if you do not install the script for 10 years that does not mean we will give free upgrades and free support for 10 years.

I am sorry that does not sound right to us, tell me if you purchase a sony television with a gurantee of 1 year and after 1 year you go to Sony and tell them that for 1 years the Television was packed in the box and I never used it and now I want to have free support for next 1 year will they allow it? Please tell me If you purchase a software with free support from any other company with a free support of 6 months and you tell them that you have not been using the software for 6 months and now want free support will they provide?

I am sorry but that does not sound right to us at all, you were entitled to a free support of 6 months and 1 free upgrade which you got and were never denied of, rest depends on you, if you want further support and upgrades those will be provided and will not be denied, but will be charged as stated.

Obviously being from India they are not aware of how retail works here in North America. Being agitated by what they said.. I replied:

If you buy a sony televison and never take it out of the box you can return it for a full refund. I believe that is what is in order now. I have never installed your script to my domain, that effectively does not activate any sort of licensing agreement that was in the contract.

Please refund my money. I do not wish to continue a relationship with a company like this.

This is when they threatened me with the following reply:

Hello,
You must be kidding me. Going to a sony showroom and telling them that I never opened this tv for a year now please take it back and give me a refund.
That is the most bizzare thing i have ever heard.
I will at no cost refund your money.
If I receive any threats from your side or anything like this or any misuse of the software, i will go to the maximum extent possible under Indian I.T. Act to get justice.
This is my last email to you. I suggest you get your thinking straight and go see a psychiatrist.
Any further emails from your side will be considered as spam and reported to authorities.

Funny how they hide behind the law while committing a crime themselves. Extortion is a criminal offence.. and threatening to report my email as spam if I ever make a reply is just that. So here I am letting you know what will happen if you deal with this company. These are all just straight cut and pastes unaltered.. you can pm me if you like and I can forward originals. Frankly this 'warning' to everyone about this guy trying to sell the script is probably just another sales tactic to get their name in here.. you can see this is their only post. I admit I just joined to tell this experience and reply myself.. but it looks like a decent forum.. might stick around

Hope this helps save some of you from the blackmail and extortion that they have placed on me if you ever are unfortunate enough to have to deal with them.

I heard these guys actually do the work and custom developmentfor a lot of these companies selling social networking scripts, seems better to get some custom work done than to buy a script that everyone is using. But the real goal is to quit copying myspace and come up with something new and better!

Uh, I must be missing something but it appears that they're definitely in the right here. Using your example, if you bought a Sony TV and took it back to the store six months later, most places would not accept the return. The only place off the top of my head that may accept it would be Wal-Mart. None of the electronics store around here would even listen to your case.

I don't care if he's from India and speaks poor English - you were in the wrong according to the terms you agreed to when you purchased the item. They gave you the free upgrades and support you were promised upon purchase. Why is it their fault that you didn't take advantage of that?

The bottom line is....Customer Service is Customer Service...and here in America. Most companies, especially good...honest...ethical and successful ones. Would listen to the custumer first, help them to make sure they get the best service possible. Its called "Quality Business". Do you want to be like PicNSave or like Nordstroms? Nordstroms will return your item with no reciept and give you a full cash refund...no matter when you purchased the item. If you have a reciept you get the sale price. However, they are widely recognized as a retail shop that is very customer service oriented and that is why people love them so much. Same here, bad business ethics brings....bad karma. If this company (no matter where they are from) does not feel that you should get your money back...the word will get around. And they will get theirs....in life....What goes around comes around.
