$200 / mo. from popups & $150 / mo. from banner ads, totalling approx. $350 / mo. gross. Expenses include server costs (a dedicated server is a must) and monthly prize (Next month's - DVD). Ads are used sparingly (max 1 popup every 12 mins, skyscraper ad disappears when users log in). By adding banners from services like joetec [and even in-between wait pages], you can increase revenue. Also, room to add a pay to play system (upwards of an additional $300 / mo).
6. Who develops content and administers the site and how much time does it require? The Owner & Programmer (me). Roughly 30 minutes / day is spent answering questions on forums and controlling spam & cheaters. Every game round ends at midnight (EST) of the end of every month, and requires the logging of the winner, and the restarting of the next round.
