Currently we get 5-10 new paying members per day.

In September the site has 21678 Unique Visitors, 49181 Visits, 6211152 Pages and 8325986 Hits

What are the running cost breakdown?:

I currently pay £163 per month for a dedicated Linux server to host the site on. £143 per month for the flash based streaming video and chat room software.

- how much hardware is it running on?

1 Linux dedicated server.

- whats the advertising spend?

I am currently signed up with 3 affiliate marketing networks (affiliate window, affiliate future and paid on results) all of these are UK based. I provide affiliates with 50% of any sales made within the first 30/60 days of them sending me traffic. I am about to launch with Shareasale in the US (this week).
I pay £255 management fees to the networks (all in)+ the commission on sales. I also spend £10 per day on adwords at 4p per click.

- do you pay a monthly licence to use the video chat software?

Yes

How many pictures do you have to categorise a day?

20-50 its a case of simply clicking one of three boxes on an email that arrives for each newly uploaded picture (delete/suitable for all/adult)

The site has huge potential, the members love it but unfortunately I don't have the experience or knowledge to make it pay. Currently the site has no advertisers / affiliate links showing on it, but I have had plenty of interest in advertising on the site and I am sure revenue could be increased in this way

That's a 10% conversion rate - Match.com (arguably the best know dating site in the USA at least) has only a 5% conversion rate...

why is your conversion rate so high?

So my calcs:
10,000 current members
of those 40% are active (at most)
so 4000 active current members
with a 5% conversion to subscriber
That leaves 200 subscribers
At $10 per month per subscriber
that makes gives $3000 per month gross
Then subtract marketing costs...
I would in my very optimistic scenario above - you are netting at most a couple hundred bucks a month.

That in mind maybe you want to rethink your price....

Where did you get those figures from?
You cant just make up the figures and then suggest I rethink my price, that does not make sense.
By all means look at the real figures and then make your own mind up....

can you help me? i am trying to find traffic that i can afford to get people to join my new website or maybe buy website that already have at least 25,000 active members that i would make some profits. my budget are very tight. let me know...thanks...brian
