Hey guys, I decided to sell my site www.learning-to-invest.com as I need some money for other projects.
  1. Siim
  2. http://www.learning-to-invest.com
  3. Probably around 1.5 years
  4. Around 2000 uniques and 3500 page views month
  5. Income: Adsense ca $30/mo, linkworth $70/mo (so total $100) plus within the past 2 months two clickbank products have been sold (worth $110) and one sponsored review (worth $65)
  6. Who develops content and administers the site? How much time does it require? I haven't updated the site for a long time, but this hasn't affected the numbers as it's the type of content searched for all the time. But you could re-surrect the blog and post daily if you wanted to.
  7. What is the monthly cost of running the site? Just your server costs.
  8. Reason for selling? Need some money for other projects and I'm not interested in investing myself anymore.
  9. Will you help with the transition of the site to the new owner? Yes.
  10. Does the site have an ezine or newsletter? Number of subscribers? No.
  11. What all does the site include? Domain (PR3), Design, content (all original), paid links from linkworth.com (will be transferred over to your account), custom CMS to post your own blog posts, links etc. So you'll get everything you see there.
  12. Asking price: $1500
Everyone interested, please leave a comment here. I need to get the site sold asap.

Thanks
Siim

Just to update - I just checked the newsletter database and even though I initially said there's no subscribers, there are about 75 but I haven't really sent them anything.

Hi,

The site states..."Learn the Basics while I learn them daily...free"

If you are not there to develop the content on a daily basis this will just die a slow death...how do you foresee this being transitioned?

Hi Global365

Your question is very resonable, but in all honesty, it doesn't matter much. The content available there is not dying anywhere between 2000 and 2010. The reason is that the content available there is mainly educational content (except for all the latest posts). How to use candlesticks, what candlesticks are, what forex is, etc etc etc, it's all the information people need all the time not just today or 2 years ago.

When you check it then before the very latest post the last post is from January 15, 2007; and there's still 50-100 daily visitors. Thus without any work from your side the current income (around $100 month) will most likely continue. If you add new posts to it or promote it better as a great learning site for starting investors/day traders you could increase the revenues quite easily as I really haven't had time to work with the site for around a year. And when I say I haven't had time to work with it, it really means I haven't promoted it, I haven't done anything with it for a long time. Thus the potential, especially for someone who has time and willingness to work with it, is quite great.

Right now the price with current monthly income is just 10months revenue. If the clickbank sales continue (1 sale per month) then it's 7-8month's revenue.

Nothing is sure, ever, but I'm pretty certain that if anyone bought it and put some effort into it (maybe some new content and minor additional promotion) you could pull in ca $300/mo easily, if not more.

If you're interested, let me know. I think if I can't get it sold within the next few days I'll take it off the market and continue with it myself.

Cheers
Siim

Okay, last try, for the next 48 hours the price for the site is $1099. If no-one is interested, I'll take the site off the sale after that and stick to earning passive revenue with it myself

Cheers

Current revenue for site is $180/mo (or actually $125 net, as 30% goes to linkworth) from linkworth plus around $25-$30/mo from adsense.

Hey I was wondering how much you would sell the site for now, is it still the same price. Did you write all the articles yourself, how long has the blog been down, and could you provide screen shots of the traffic source breakdwn, as well as adsense, and other advertisement accounts. I am interested, and would like more info on the required maintenence. EMAil rmccaf2487@msn.com thanks.

The site has been sold (sorry for the delayed answer, the site was sold weeks ago). If anyone is interested in sort of a similar site, only on topics of business and advertising etc then I have available http://www.businessadvicepro.com/, it's PR3, earns with linkworth around $60-$80/mo, has minimum traffic. Right now the site is down as I'm just changing my dedicated server, so due to data transfer the old server has been brought down for a bit, but everything should be back up soon. The current offer for that site is $700. So once it's available and you can see it, and you're interested, let me know your offer.

And all content is original.

Cheers
