I've got this new design template, and what to know what you all think of it. I've still got to add things like the pictures yet, but as I said, it's just really a simple template so that I can change bits easily.

No offense, but if you're advertising yourself/company as a web designer, you have a long way to go.

You need to do some serious research on the look and feel of some of the mainstream design studios out there, both in the UK and around the globe, these are your compeditors.

Also, take a look at some of the web template sites out there, if your work isn't as good as a $50 template, there's a problem.

I don't mean to sound harsh, but web design companies are a dime a dozen these days, if you're not keeping up on the current trends and technology you're going to get left in the dust.

Can you design your own graphics instead of using templates?

I agree if you are going to design a site that is promoting your skills stay up to date with the trands and take a gamble and go for something different. A genius will try things mainstream wont touch.

I would say that you need to do some work.

Remember: if you are a web design company, your site needs to be a good example of your tops skills. If visitors are not impressed by your site, then don't expect them to be using your services.

Also, it is ok to use a template, as long as there is a large degree of customization...make your own graphics or find someone to work with that can...

best of luck to you...

As you said i think you need some graphics urgently! You need to make your site appeal to users, the more professional it looks the longer the users will stay and use your services. You could do with using some CSS getting rid of them underlined links, making it more attractive. You need to be using bright (but not too bright) colours not browns and blacks which look boring, the bright colours will keep the user more interested. Also a background image or light colour would make it more attractive. Remember if the user dont like your site they aint gonna stay, just click away!

Good Luck

if you are going to go with a basic design, you need to write content that really sells you... there is money to be made in doing a lot of quick really basic easy sites... but its a tough racket... you need to have your customers paying you for hosting if you are going to target that market.

I'm sorry but my first impression was that the home page look like a erro message.

You really need to improve the layout of your site.

Make a full page no just a banner or something like it, add graphic or pictures, talk about your company or yourself.

The graphics on the portfolio page are terrible.

Sorry, good luck with the improvements.
