I've taken all your suggestions (well most of them) and put them into practise. I appreciate all your input to date. I guess I'm a perfectionist or just want a great site that you will remember and keep coming back to!!
Site: http://www.modernabode.com

So....

What else do I need to:
  1. Make this site interesting
  2. Make the appearance appealing
  3. Get business
  4. Get more hits
I will be putting in for a new logo on the logo contest page so all web graphic designers, please keep watching.
thanks

Im new at web design myself, but I like your site. its simple and I think thats good. Since your a perfectionist I went through looking for little errors and I found one

http://www.modernabode.com/Glossary-M.html

The pull-down menu at the top overlaps the Glossary-M in IE7.

Does it do that on your browser? Or just mine?

Thanks so much Jeremy for taking the time to go through my site and find errors. I've corrected the overlap in Glossary M. No its not your browser. Thanks again

Hello again Jane, I think you have got the navigation figured out in that it is no longer confusing. I would still like to see a Css drop down menu for visual appeal and even better organization, but no need for me to get picky.

yes Jacob. with so many categories the navigation was a real trick especially when sitebuilder doesn't give much choice. as for css, someday. i've tried to fiddle with this drop down but it doesn't allow for intrusion.

Your site looks messed up in Firefox for me, it is caused by the image tag shown above being inside the drop down menu.

It looked nice in Internet Explorer

Quite simple looking site. But the left color is different from the right and that's a turn off. Also your site needs more pages. Also there is big blank space at the bottom.
