Hello every one.

I have implemented 3rd version of my site. Please can you give any suggestions you think can make my site better.

I would like to see all the "pro" and "contra" on current design realization.

Link is: www.boradesign.net

Best regards,

Ivan.

Very Nice site design, it is very clean and easy to navigate. The only fault I find is that the links in your websites portfolio are either don't work (e.g. 404 error) or take me to the site but they are not using your template. Also why the Google Ads? I know they MAY bring in money, but if you are trying to creating a professional looking portfolio / eComm site I would consider dropping them (at least they fit into the theme of the site.)

If you fix the links, 9/10

Thank you for review! Regarding links - yes some of them are too old and aren't working. And how can I show my past work other way - possibly just delete them or make just popup like for last ones.

Thanks.

Nice and neat.

EDIT: For people like me, who know very little, simplicity is important. You have to make it easy on everybody. I think you achieved that.

That would do it, but then you would want to differentiate it from a link, that way the vistor knows that the link doesn't work. A better solution, if you still have the html, is put a live demo of it on your site and link to that. A live demo is always better then a picture, so that a potential customer can see how all the elements interact (e.g. hovers, drop down, etc.)

Hello,

Black color and its elements gives your web page a fine finish. I like the simplicity and the feel of the website...
you can spice up the page by adding few FLASH work, then it should look just fine...

Have a look at www.kingwebdesigns.com to see how they have integrated Flash in their web site...

Agreed with Mark on the ads issue. For the pennies a glass they'll bring in for money, you'll lose way more than that in potential customers. If you spent this long on your layout, then you probably don't want to do that.

My issue is that it's white on black. It's not such an issue in the header, but if you want people to read your body copy then you should make it as easy for them to read as possible (i.e. reverse the color scheme.)

You should also look at having your copy proofread. There are a number of grammatical errors that indicate that English is your second language; this may pose issues with client communications and turn people away from your site before they ask you for a custom quote.

You need to edit your template so that you can come up with unique title tags for each page (they all say "homepage" in them).

You don't tell anyone where you're from (address or phone number). An address/telephone number lends credibility to a business site, and your site is a business site.

I think your site looks nice...but I think it needs functional work (the things I outlined above, among others) before you'll start seeing what you want to see with it.
And frenchtoast:

Don't present a site as the work of someone else when you're directly involved with the site. That's misleading.

You site is visually very appealing. I would insert enlarged examples of your thumbnailed images. Also your site does not validate this could be a serious turnoff to potential buyers, see below.

Hi Ivan,

Overall, you site looks good. Here are a few suggestions:

News:
It's great to inform your visitors/ clients/ potential clients about the latest updates of your company. Thus, don't forget to update this section as often as you could. You could also write about the latest projects your company have undertaken, and show case the work here.

Portfolio:
I noticed that there is a section under 'portfolio' where you displayed some of the "adult" websites. Perhaps, it would be better to create a link with a suitable title to such works. This way, it minimizes the chances of your visitors feeling "uncomfortable" or "offensive" towards such contents.

I hope my suggestions help :-)

All the best to you!
