Hey Forky, here's my IMO's on your forum:
Appearance is good. Is there a reason that the background colors are different than the Gettyburg site? I think it might be better using the same color scheme as that site since it is the Gettyburg Forums.
The top navigation is slightly off the page (just need to scroll) on 800x600 settings. It has room for it to moved to the left and then not having bottom scroll bars. It's same on all pages, so I guess that is part of the template.
For aesthetics only, I would make the welcome column wider in the welcome box and give less room to the log-in, thus making the entire box smaller.
The width of the comments boxes in threads need to be wider. Some of the posts are wider than the preceeding and following posts and makes the boxes get wider and then narrower. The present width makes the contact box below each post looked jumbled. I think making it wider would help rememdy that problem.
Note: I haven't seen any better custom made "doods"!
Functionality and load time is good. I didn't find any problems with links nor any bugs. I didn't join the forum, so there are some things that I just couldn't check out. I did vote on a thread, and it was allowed and counted my vote.
Overall it matches its purpose.
I only found one typo and that is the word "none" instead of "non" in the description for
General Forum Discussion. And I don't know about the downunder and some other English speaking countries, but et cetera is abbreviated etc. The reason I say that about countries is not an insult, but I went to a site of a UK gentleman and he had same abbreviation as ect. instead of etc.
I know, I know, seems picky, but that's just me.
I would give a
7. The Gettysburg gamers need to get out there to it!
