Hi,

Please review my new Content Managed website, http://www.mattormrod.com

Any feedback is welcome, please let me know what you think. As I say, please bear in mind that all areas of the site can be Content Managed through an admin section.

Cheers

Matt

Looks cookie-cutter to me. A little because of the design, alot because of the copy.

Sounds like the sort of bombastic thing spammers say, the kind that make 500,000 "websites" to affiliate some porn site. And if I load up google, you're not there, so maybe "page 1 of Google" needs a bit of qualification. For what keyword(s) ?

I can assure you this isn't cookie cutter at all. All the content is original, and I only have one other domain name that points to the same site. The copy about SEO has come from one of my freelancers, as personally I only deal with the development. Also, at the moment the site is pretty new, so I am still only working my way up through the listings. The guy who does my SEO has got "PHP Contractor" onto the front page of Google within a couple of months from nowhere, so he does know what he's doing.

Like I say, It's all built by hand by me, and the technology behind it is sound. Anyway, thanks for your review - i'll take from it that it looks a little too uniform.

It looks like 90's web design and seems dated try using a more attractive layout.

I agree with the losing the @ symbol.. It has been done, if that isn't the understatement of the year. Your city image makes me dizzy. Pretty standard otherwise

yeah its not a bad little site, personally i think the header is a bit outdated and is more suited to a 1990's style of website, so i would personally update/redesign the header, but apart from that, you have a nice site.
