i like the color scheme, but the top of the homepage looks weird with the block of text above the banner. i think that would be better suited below it. just my 2 cents

its neat looking for sure: but once you get down to business and people are using the site seriously for the forum, they aren't goign to care about all the fancy pictures, and especially aren't going to want to have to go to a homepage first and have to click to get to the forum. but it'd be a shame to throw away the neat design you have there.

That's exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for. That's why I love this forum!

I am not sure with your urls. I opened a post and it is indexed as ?board=2;action=display;threadid=7
Are you positive that this is not a big long for Google to index readily? I have to admint that I am not sure, but it looks that this will be considered as a single variable by Google and G. my suspect this to be a session id.
Also your intro page promises a lot. Perhaps you should have a tutorial or two.
I am getting tired from all the forums looking the same, so the difernces in webdesign are fine.

Please keep the feedback coming and please register if you have a spare minute. I'm trying to grow my community on a grass roots level.

Also, I will be adding some tutorials and resources shortly.

I like the cool graphic on the index page. I do however have a few issues with the site.

1- white on black is always hard to read, let alone when the text is really small. That wouldn't normally be a problem, except you have used an absolute reference for the text, which means if you go to increase the text size in the browser, nothing happens.

2- The navigation isn't all that clear. IMHO I shouldn't have to look around to find it.

3- If the site is all about SEO (and I LOVE catchphrase), then shouldn't the site be SE friendly? all the php file extentions are going to completley throw the SE's off.

4- No <h1>!!!!! Again, this comes back to having an un SE firendly site.

So to summarise.

Good start. Needs work. Why don't you find out a bit about republishing dynamic pages as static. That would make a real difference...

I think your site is wonderful in all aspects, except for the black background. I love the graphic, and the placement of everything. I think it would really clean/clear up the look if the background was white with that cool graphic!
