overall the layout and navigation is good

i like websites with white backgrounds

just needs more content too much space

One big thing that sticks out is the picture on the front. Many people believe that you should not have a pic prominently displayed on your front page as you do. I believe if it serves a good purpose and looks natural, do it. In this case I do not think the picture adds, it is a bit bland. I would replace the pic with good quality content.

Hi phazedout,

Most site visitors want to know what a site is about in as little time as possible. Your "Our Company" section is off screen (on my monitor) so it may be a good idea to bullet point a few things somewhere around the top of the site. Let people know what the business is all about immediately. Example:

Electronic Equipment Repair Specialists
Over a Decade serving the South Wales region
Engineers qualified to degree standard
Specialists at reducing down time

I call these "executive bullet points" because most decision makers don't have time to read lots of fine print unless they see what they are looking for right away.

I also recommend you add more text and break it up into separate pages to add some depth to your site.

the google search bar makes a huge sidescroll in FF but it looks fine to me you should make the Our Company, Our promise etc... links to the sevice page or something but it looks fine.

The design is very clean. My only comment would be on the navigation menu at the top of the pages. I was unable to find a quick and easy way to return to the main page. Also the image buttons on the right side of the main picture do not work. It appears that these are additional navigation buttons to take you home, search the site and to view a tree layout of the site.

Overall I like the site - it looks good, and its totally validated and it works. However, there is alway room for improvement. I would suggest the following for a few improvements:

1. Remove the Google search bar altogether - not really what this kind of site needs, all it does is create a horizontal scroll which is just annoying.

2. Create rollover images for the top horizontal menu

3. If you want to have a picture that size, then you need to frame the entire area with a border - and thats including the area above and below the Aypex logo.

4. Change the text of the logo

5. small thing I know, but the word 'electronic' touches the side border - make sure you've got 'padding' or a 'margin' so that doesn't happen.

6. If you must have Google Ads on this site, then you need to do two things: use a horizontal banner (rather than pushing the footer down 600 pixels) and change the style to match the rest of the site.

All in all, a very good site!

really its simple ...i lke it
