Well I have just started building www.forumfinders.com this week and hope to be finished by the end of the month. The site is a forum ONLY search engine where people can submit there forum and users can search it in our database, I was tired of going to google and searching for a forum and getting tons or listings that were not forums. Anyways please tell me what you think or what I can do to make it better, Thank you in advance.

Nice idea - I think this should be a useful site when its finished. I would recommend using a more professional font, although I appreciate that you're still working on the site. I like your title bar - you've clearly put a lot of effort into this, and it shows. Well done, and I'm looking forward to seeing a finished version.

One last thing - instead of linking the 'contact' button straight to the email program with mailto:, I would recommend linking it to a separate contact html page.

Great idea I think it should do well. One thing that I think needs work is the navigation like links to every page from every page. And I also agree about changing the font.Let us know when it's finished I'm keen to have a look.

I agree with the above, this is a good idea that should do well if you follow through with it. The problem is many people have a good idea, then get frustrated and drop it.

I think that this site down the right column will be fine for advertising. Not many sites could get away with this, but this is one of them that can. Please do not ad google adwords here. I am getting so tired of seeing these on nearly every site. Sell your own advertising, and lay it out like google does, but please do not use the adwords on this.

The only problem I have with this, is in your left column you have a position for affiliates. All it takes to get listed here is a banner exchange, yet on the right side, I assume you will sell that space. I personally will exchange a link with you, instead of paying you. I still get the same amount of exposure from your site and I am paying nothing for it. Maybe consider changing this.

The last thing I would change is on your homepage. Behind the categories, put how many links there are in that category. That way I do not waste my time looking into a directory that may be empty. It may also encourage people to add their site if the directory is nearly empty.

8 out of 10

first, i like the sites concept a lot.

the font is definitely an issue. you have different fonts on different parts of the site. you should pick one and go with it.

in your center column: the bulk of your content bumps up very close to the left hand column - you may want to increase the space between the two columns… increase cell-padding on the center cell maybe? that will pull the content, especially your forms, e.g. ‘add a url’ or ‘modify a link,’ away from the left-hand column and clean up the site a little.

me being picky: on the affiliate program page you use a light purple and red text in a table for your html code. this just does not flow with the rest of the site. you should reconsider these colors... you have a good color palette without that!

otherwise 8/10!

It's a good idea in my opion but there is something wrong with quality of webdesign on that page. If I ware you I would consider paying some cash to profesional web designer to do some grafical and content changes.

But still wish you good luck with this project!
