Please note that as of now there are 2 parts of the photo album that are not up yet, should be in a day or so. Other than that, please send lots of feedback my way!

NIce site. love the forum code ! where did you get it from?

also like the calendar. Great idea with a small javascript to change text when you hover over events on particular days though maybe change the links on this page only so they dont change size when you hover over them & thereby change the size of the calendar throwing your code out a bit.

Nice gallery & I like that the pop up window is the same size as the picture !

All in all a very neat smart site well done

I like it. That header is top notch. Excellent work there. The only problem I have with the site is it has a lot of white space. You just have some hot news on the home page, but not much else. If you add some additional content to your home page this will be perfect. Everything seemed to work correctly, but nearly every page fell victim to the white space problem.

8 out of 10

Overall you have a very nice site there. Very clean and useable. I half expected a MIDI or MP3 to automatically start playing; not doing so actually gives the site a more professional feel and not like it was whipped up by a couple of kids on some committee. And yet it's not so professional that it looks like it was contracted out. The font really works here in striking that perfect balance.

I'd be tempted to make just a few changes. I agree with the comment about changing the links on the calendar so the text doesn't move around. I'd also make it more obvious which month is currently being viewed. On the contact page, I'd change the e-mail address links to a different color so people are more likely to click them.

It feels like your site is for members and non-members. That's a great way to create interest in the drumline itself. So I'd change the home page a bit. Tell folks a little about the drumline, just enough so people hang around. You've got some good general material on your About Us page that is a great starting point. (Don't do a "copy and paste", but paragraphs 1, 2, 4, 7, and 8 can be redone slightly to create the right "buzz".) Point people to the forums and calendar. If you're only looking at having a few news items at any one time, put them on the home page. Otherwise put a few select items (the absolute newest and a teaser or two) there and create a news page with all the news.

Those are just some things to consider. Really, the site is very nice the way it is. Good job.

like the site - simple and to the point... 2 small gripes

http://ncsudrumline.com/images/taxday.jpg isnt working - thats your main header image

second - the font is kind of, well its kind of childish... i think something more like verdana would do the site a lil more justice

I really like the gallery with the new window being the same size as the pic, and each picture is really good quality, all you need is a drum beat and you could actually be there.

I also found the header image would not open, not sure why mabey you have moved the image and forgot to update the server file???

I like the text but would have to agree with Mike Panic, have you thought of trying new fonts...why not try stcking the page up with a few diffrent fonts to see which gets the best responce.

Cool site!!

ok, header is fixed.
as for the font, I was going for a child-like feel, without a childish design. when people read anything on the site, I want it to come across light-hearted. so with that said, does the Comic Sans accomplish that, or do you still think I should change to another font? thank you for your feedback.

OK. It's pretty good. I would say change the font. It's not so much child-like, but pretty tacky IMO. (It just reminds me of making really nasty posters for my old workplace)

http://www.ncsudrumline.com/index.php has Verdana, index2.php has Arial, index3.php has Comic Sans, and index4.php has Courier New. If anybody has any other font suggestions or a preference of the above fonts please let me know. Thanks.

I'd say verdana, Arial or Tahoma will work nicely. They are all pretty similar, but all 3 are quite sound

I think Comic Sans has the unique "dedication" of being the most hated font on the internet!

hey, hey. It may be the most hated, but it's also the choice of school kids in England!

I think we should have a poll on this - favourite/least favourite fonts
