Review my sports competition site

Hey all, check out SportsPickem.com and give me your thoughts on the look-and-feel.

I think I need some sort of section headers or something on the main page and the menu along the top needs some styling.

Anything else seem wrong in the look-and-feel department?

a few things I would change:

1. main navigation menu more visible (text links are hard to see, red hover isnt a good choice, would try white, make the text bigger, or bolder, so it stands out a bit more)

2. for a sports competition website, personally its a bit lacking in pictures, dynamism - its just plain text at the moment

3. I would place the google ads at the bottom or the right hand side, and make use of that area for links, content

The only thing I'd say is perhaps make the links slightly more prominent - so that they stand out.

bluesage, I agree the main menu needs some major work, dumb as it sounds I haden't though about adding images anywhere in the body, they would liven it up I guess.

Ha - Let's hope so. The best way to increase your cube quickly is to tell your friends and everyone you know about You-Cubez.com. Make sure they click through the banner on your site or if not, make sure they enter your website in the "How Did You Hear About Us" field. Each cube purchased through your site or recommended by your site will increase your cube by £1 and every 50 unique visitors will also increase your cube by £1! Good Luck

Also, you need to do something about the main body of the site. There is too much wasted space and it looks a bit out of proportion.
It definately needs images of some sort.

At the moment, the home page is not looking like a home page. it looks more like the typical terms and conditions page. Maybe if you set out the home page and have a number of categories that link to the information, it would be more balanced.
