I am fairly new to website building, but I do look forward to seeing what everyone thinks of my new website, http://reviewmasteronline.com. Thanks for the help, and I look forward to making my site better.

Umm..
No DOCTYPE
Messy nested tables
Deprecated code
.. all typical of Frontpage garbage code.
Your footer area is a mess in Firefox, no surprise from a Frontpage site, it only creates sites that work correctly in IE.

The colored bars that make up the header section don't line up.

There's really nothing much in your center content area, a thumbnail and 1 or 2 lines of text spread waaayy down the page just isn't interesting.

The scrolling text at the top -- yech.. lose it.

Sorry.. but you need to learn much more. Dump Frontpage and learn to code HTML by hand.

I really admire you CAN-DO atitude, I think the color scheme needs a little work, maybe a few shades of the same color and thne maybe a brighter highlight color.

Um, wow. I hope you're not discouraged by our comments. They are meant to be constructive. That being said....

Everytime I scroll, the bg color on your navigation and links disappear. It's white on white.

The layout is invalid. See www.w3c.org. Ditch FrontPage and learn HTML and XHTML, along with CSS.

Try a graphic in your header and left align text, like the rest of your page.

Try a web palette. http://colorblender.com/

best of luck!

Hi Dionak,

Thanks for the suggestions. I will work on learning HTML too. I will try adding the graphics and changing the colors too. This is my first try at designing a webpage, and I do appreciate all the help. This is an awesome site to say the least for help such as this. What do you think about Dreamweaver? Frontpage seemed the easest to learn, but I think Dreamweaver would be the best!

Well if you listen to any experienced web designer, they'll tell you the best way to learn is to code everything yourself, by hand, using notepad or a similar application. The only reason I use other HTML creation/editing programs is because they sometimes nicely format and colour my HTML tags, which is just easier to work with.

Anyhoo, there are plenty of resources on the Web to help you get started, it's fairly straightforward, just gotta sit down and learn it.

http://www.w3schools.com is a good place to start

Goodluck.

OK, quick browse and here is my take.

Use html for the links instead of java buttons.
Tweak the colours add a few shades of purple into the mix.
Design a heading banner.

I hope that helps, its not a bad attempt for your first site.

Sadly I don't get the full "force" of the site due to my JAVA being turned off, so I had no buttons. Plus as mentioned before the coding is a tad too much (as Frontpage just spits out so much invalid crap).

On the other hand though, congratz on getting a website up and online.

Here is my input for what it's worth. css works wonders with images. by aligning left or right to get text to wrap around photos greatly reduces unwanted white space.

Code:
img.floatLeft {
    float: left;
    margin: 4px;
}
img.floatRight {
    float: right;
    margin: 4px;
}
I use Firefox and I see no menu. I would do some research on cross browser compatibility for using any off beat menu systems. A good rule of thumb for me anyhow, is check your design in different browsers or as mentioned above. http://validator.w3.org/

I don't think there is anything wrong with the color scheme, just some padding and a little attention to detail go a long way with a finished product.

Hi - It's a good start, but 1 suggestion would be to change the font face. At present I believe it is Times New Roman. I'd recommend changing this to something like Trebuchet MS or something.
