1. I have been arguing with my ISP and Hosting company about the slow load times of my site. I was wondering if other people could check the load times. It shouldn't take more than 2-3 seconds but I'm often getting 10-20 second loads.

I don't think the thumbnails should be slowing down the site, is it possible my MySql Database is too big at 500mbs?

Any recommendations for hosting that could handle the constant rss/cron updates? My site uses php and mysql.

2. Any ideas for site marketing? or changes to be made.

The sites unique value proposition is that users will be able to find videos, images, games, and animations from their favorite sites via onesource.

Took 12 secs to load for me. (on 2MB conn)

1) Here it took 16 seconds for the page to appear, and another 9 seconds on top of that for the page to fully load. This is with a 1mb connection.

The mySQL database shouldnt be too big at 500mb but you may want to look at your mySQL settings to make sure they are all correct. You may also want to look at some mySQL optimisation guides.

As for hosting, try http://www.mediatemple.net/webhosting/gs/ . I'm not 100% sure if it's what you will be looking for, but it has your specifications (PHP and mySQL).

2) I saw this site for sale a while ago and I absolutly loved it - and I still do!

I like your site, nice, clean and tidy! Additionally the site seemed to load up fairly quickly from this end! i am on an 8mb connection tho!
