I have to agree, this is a very nice site and for your FIRST, its EXCELLENT. Very good clean code and no tables (YIPPEE !!)
The design is very nice, major horizontal scrolling at 800x600 though - people do still use that resolution.
My only criticism, really, is the use of the <embed> for your Flash. That is going to cause IE users headaches as they will not even see your flash unless and until they do the 2-click dance to 'activate' the active content. This is because MS lost it's EOLAS patent fight and now ALL active content (not just flash) causes the 'click to activate' nonsense.
There is a sticky at the top of the HTML forum that contains resources for several methods for getting rid of the <embed> tag. My personal preference is SWFObject, and it's fairly easy to implement.
Great job

I really like this. The fading images and the color scheme are excellent. Good job.

I remember my first website... It had an ugly yellow, bright background with green text and oo... just so bad, but if this is really your first website then like they said you are going to go far. Keep posting your websites, can't wait to see what they'll be like after a good year or two.

Advertise. Get a Google AdWords account, find link exchanges. After you get the word out it will advertise itself on its own. But for now just advertise on other websites and tell everyone you know about it.

I agree with all of the above. Very easy to navigate, and pleasant to look at. It also is a subject a lot of golfers will be interested in. I love the mountain courses in NC, but haven't been in there in many years.
