I was told by my client to keep the logo simple, so I did. To make it look all techy I would have to make if fancy and he said he wanted it basic so I did that. he said he liked it so I am staying with it.

My question is why would you use phpbb for a board that has over 800 members???!!! Just like Montero said it does not look much like any tech site, too colorful, I would go with a cool streamlined sliver black look.

why not use phpBB it is the best. As for the tech look, I didn't want it to have a tech look, because when people see tech looking sites, they think oh **** this is going to be confusing. I wanted to send the message of simple yet can help. Also professional.

i like the site - but it needs something to make it stand out - something that will make it fit into the sector it is focusing on.

I think its good to not look too techy - it makes the site look more approachable and friendly. Good job.

I think you did a good job. The colors are easy on the eyes; niether too dark nor too bright. I do agree with some of the comments though... it could use a bit more of a tech look mainly on the title bar. Good Job

Have been bouncing around in there for most of the weekend, excellent site. What it lacks in techy look it more than makes up for in techy content. Excellent variety of material therein, covering most any aspect of computers you want to look at, most of it very well written too.

Although it could look a bit more tech, anyone focusing on that isn't digging in and seeing what you've got to offer, beauty isn't skin deep, as they say. Good Job ATLien.
