I am looking to improve design on a currently running website,
perhaps color scheme, consistency or general layout positioning.

Is it inviting?
Specific comments or tips appreciated.

In terms of design? There is no design! Nice website idea but doesn't even deserve a review.

Have once more look on design. The idea is nice and I think less competitive field. Good Luck

It seems clean, maybe a little confusing to a novice but good overall

Thanks for the comment.

We've looked at our design (or lack thereof) too many times to know what you're talking about.... we appreciate some specific guidelines, how about a link that talks about such things....?

I'm not sure what you mean? Could you elaborate on the above quote?

Thanks for the positive input. What confused you?

What can we do, or eliminate, to make it less confusing?

I dont know all the technical words to describe what you can do to improve your layout, but you can search "Free Website Templates" or "Free Website Layouts" on the internet and you will find many free codes and templates with actual "layouts". Maybe after looking at what those sites look like, you will have a better idea of how to organize and layout your site a little better. It IS a good concept you have!

Do you mean, by "random images", our buttons on top that don't quite look "coordinated"? If so, we agree with you....I've been sort of looking for button images or clipart to from, and haven't quite found perfect ones yet. What can we do?

We really appreciate your comment.

I don't think the design is the problem. Because of the nature of the site being basically images, the design needs to be very plain which it is. The problem I see is that the images themselves are all different sizes and it makes the page look messy. You need to standardize the image sizes, at least on your home page.

Ah, thanks. Our problem is that "original" labels come in all sizes and shapes. Even if we re-scan all 1,188 of them at some point, they will still be different.

Perhaps there's a layout trick that make them look uniform?
Currently, I'm aligning them on top of TD for the home page.

I am yet to try Dreamweaver, which I see is most popular according to the poll conducted on this site. Does that software help me in that direction of...say, exploring ways to make different size pics look "well presented"?
