Review orandysoftware.com (beta site released)

Please take a look at my site: http://www.orandysoftware.com
EDIT:
Thanks for your past comments on my site. I'm now quite done with the new site design (main page only) and would appreciate your comments again.
After weeks of development in the shadows, I'm proud to introduce the new website for 2007, OrandySoftware 2.0, template dubbed Aeroflex (after Windows Vista's Aero theme).
This site focus more on dynamic content like publishing articles right from online and distributing them. The pages are all now more well organised. Some extra feature includes auto thumbnail and auto-put-the-image-on-frame.
BTW, I noticed that this page had gotten a PR1 (wonderful!).
Also, I'm wondering whether i should replace the old pages on my site, which were already ranked PR2-3, or just add them in a new directory for better formatting (and lose all my PR).
EDITEDIT: Website released, enjoy

Ok I've come to your home page, there is nothing there to tell me why I should bother to take the trouble to register. You really need to draw visitors in and make it appear that it is worth their while to go further.

What's the site for? I go and all I see is a message that I'm not logged in. But I have no idea why I should be.

It looks like you do some good work but your site in my opinion has too much text but i guess you have a lot to explain so its not bad. Also I think your top pictures take up too much space. If you need any help let me know. I am also seeking reviews on my page http://www.raptureimage.com

BUMP, I had the main page updated. Please just make a quick reply.
Those interested in game development can check out that page, it's open as well.
There is one problem though and it's with the Google ads, I get quite a lot of visitors to my site but don't seem to earn much from it. What can you suggest about the placements?

Hello,
some feedback:
* I would put some more space between the different items of the navigation bar. Today there is as much space between "Home" "News" than between "News and Articles" making it hard to differentiate them without moving the mouse over the links. A simple '|' or '::' would do.
* With Firefox 2.0, when the mouse is over the main picture (the image pointing to gamedev.php), the text under the image moves a bit. It seems it is the "underline" of the link which triggers this...

Hi,
I do have broadband but at the slower end of the scale 2m.
The section towards the bottom took a long time to load, when it went through the different screens the second time there was not enough gap between sections to read the text fully without rushing.
The site does look good though. Wish I could build something like that.
Good luck with it

It came to be as bit slow, I think speed needs to be optimised. Colors & the layout sounds proffesional and pretty accurate to me.
The only suggestion I would like to give you is, you can add a navigation bar. Like when you click on about us page, you can find a title About us in a grey rounded corner box. You can make the navigational bar in this place with all or few main links. Great Site.

Thanks for your comments
The dotted underline pushing down contents had been fixed.
The site is slow as you had to download 3 high resolution images you see in the slideshow area. I'll optimize it by reducing the quality.

Hello, just need you opinions again.
I need to know does my webpages load at a acceptable speed, especially of the project pages. I'll be adding a auto thumbnail php script to lessen the load whenever a page if loaded.

The main pic on the home page is too dark and the nav bar is not very apparent.

Ok.. first, I don't get it. What IS the site for or about ??
The text at the top left that says 'announcement' and 'welcome guest...', is nearly lost on that background, it's too light and all lower case is just not helping.
Your nav menu, in Firefox, is pretty squished together, it's hard to differentiate just what might be the actual menu item until you hover over them and see the dotted line underneath. The text is also very small. It's also not very evident that that IS a menu.
I would suggest putting your "News and Events" section above the movie because you just can't SEE that content unless you scroll down, and that is the ONLY thing on your page that tells anything about the site or the company.
Code-wise it's messy nested tables and non-validating code.
When you use the XHTML doctype, EVERY tag MUST be closed and presentation should be separated from content.
You're using PX for font-sizing, which means that IE users cannot resize the text should the want to. Better to use em or percentages.
