I created this about 20 days ago and added the portal last week. Let me know your thoughts please. It's a resource for people earning income (or trying to) from Second Life. The link is in my Sig.

Well I liked the look of your site, but I think you need a snappier opening to explain what you have to offer and persuade visitors to explore your site.
I started reading your opening article " New Kid on the Blog" and followed your link to read more. Although I eventually read the whole article in order to give a fair review I thought it terribly verbose and to me not interesting enough to get others hooked.
When writing for the web you need to catch the attention of the reader straight away and make your writing stimulating enough to make them want more. I felt you failed in this. If readers are not hooked it is too easy for them to go elsewhere.
I hope you don't think the above is over harsh, but it is the way it struck me.

i really likes the layout and design of the site, both the forum and the mains site merge together very nicely!

All i would say is to use interesting persuasive language to grab the readers attention from the very start!

I don't know what was going on, but I couldnt scroll through your site, couldnt really look at it.

It seems like a decent loook and feel.

You may want to hire a forum booster service to grow your forum base and posts.

I see you have a contest , that's good, now think of more ways to provide value to these people outside of the forum

It looks alright, the logo is kind of strange but is OK. In Firefox 2.0.0 your Home and breadcrumbs, date, etc. are kind of looking double the size they need to be, since two rows of the background image run through it.

Also suggest not to use Mambo and use WordPress or sNews for these purposes, Mambo is kind of bloated.
