Well, I disagree with the last post. I like the clip art look there. When I think of medical I think of a picture like this. I see it in commercials, other websites etc. I think that is a good look for this site and would consider keeping it. I do agree that the body looks empty. Try to add some more content here. One last thing is the fonts used in your button bar needs to be enlarged. Maybe even just bold it, but it does need to be made just a bit larger in my opinion

thanks - that puts a contrasting view on it, doesn't it! When you say the body looks empty, are you referring to the big linespacing?

This site has potential. I would remove the italics from the navigation and perhaps bold it instead. The italic font looks jagged...

Ah - i've just thought of something. The italics in the menu bar do not look jagged to me because I have Win XP and have set the display to render text with ClearType, which basically antialiases all text, and makes everything look nicer. Probably most people don't use this facility so the italic menu looks jagged and pixelated to them.

So, I will turn off ClearType and see what the page looks like. If I think it looks bad, then I'll make the menu text bold or something.
