i would give it maybe 5-6/10..

cos it didnt at first glance didnt strike me as a gud one..

the colors put me off initially.. and long vertical scroll in 1028 itself.. so i imagine it must be really really bad for 800 600..

lots of ads though

just my penny

OleTom,

I'm going to just give you my opinion as I see it.

I feel that your photo is a bad idea. Maybe if the photo was a happier one? To me, it seems a little creepy seeing a picture of an older man beside of a banner for Hello Kitty. That is really the only thing that turns me off from the page.

It's laid out okay. Easy to check out. Easy to read. I don't find it annoying to have to scroll using a higher resolution. I don't think it would be bad having a smaller one. I would browse through if I were on a freebie hunt. But, that first off reaction to the "mug shot" type of photo and the Hello Kitty banner honestly might make me leave if it's what popped up when I first visited (as it was).

I honestly don't mean anything bad. I don't mean that it's a bad photo at all.
Maybe you should make a cartoon you? I've done that w/ avatars of myself on forums. I don't like the idea of my own photo being out there, but it doesn't seem to bother me and yet gives me the feeling that it's still a little more personal, if I use a cartoon me.

seems pretty straight forward to me: information, not entertainment! you wan't internet income or free goodies? then you've come to the right spot. I guess that maybe a couple categories instead of one long page could be an option..

there are alot of opinions out there and billions of sites..
personally, I think a creepy picture ads character

anyway, to me, this forum is like eating chicken °°°you just eat the meat and throw away the bones°°°

I would suggest that the content be widened to make use of the realestate and minimize scrolling.

The scrolling marquee is not a bad idea (especially with cross-browser compatibility), however, rather than horizontal I would like to see vertical. If you really want visitors to read the message then don't make them wait for it. A horizontal marquee will display the same information but deliver it at a more readable pace.

All three columns (including the marquee script) start inside single <td> tags. This is a bad idea. If you are going to use tables to format your site, then it should appear similar to a spreadsheet. Each section is contained within a single cell or row.

Also, the <td> for the center column (including the marquee) is never closed. This is likely the cause of the off-center marquee (using Mozilla under Linux).

your site looks good at 1024x768 resolution so u don't need to worry. The colors are little off beat as i personally dont like the colors u r using... but its a nice site, i guess its ur first one, i would give it 6/10.
