Hey everyone,
I finished Programmer Meet Designer (Programmer Meet Designer - where web developers find web designers) last week. It was a site for programmers and designers to find each other and work together to create websites/web applications. A couple of days ago, I added the option of letting entrepreneurs and content writers join.

So what do you think of the idea, the usability, the design and the implementation? Any feature suggestions?

The idea is good. usability is also good.
As for design - too simple I think. the body tables are not aligned.
logo can be done better.
As for suggestions: make a contest for the website logo and best design suggestion.

I'm getting a new logo within the next couple of days. I'm not sure what you mean by the body tables are not aligned. What browser are you using? Can you send me a screenshot? I'd really appreciate it.

Im just not sure if programmers aren't capable of web design themselves. Of course, I'm no programmer, but I'd opt to do it myself, considering website design is just a simplified version of programming. Overall, the website is nice. The colors don't exactly match, the greens and the tans that is.

The technical aspect of it is very good. I didn't see any tables at all, the entire page was done in XHTML and CSS.

Overall, I'd give your site a 7.5 out of 10, assuming that there is a market for such a website.

See, most programmers suck at making appealing websites (me included) =). And it may seem hypocritical of me designing that site while being programmer, I had to because I don't have any money -- I couldn't hire a designer =(.

Last night, I finished release 3 of the site. Tons of new features, including:
* Sexy new skin (at least I think so)
* Skill level — filter out the jobs that are too hard/easy for you
* Now when you accept an offer, you can still see all the other offers
* Email updates: you can have "us" email you everyone a new message gets delivered to your inbox
* Fixed tagging system
* Better (read: works now) RSS feeds
* Multi-search: search for people looking for designers and entrepreneurs (example) at the same time.
* User search: find other users on the site
* A lot of bug fixes

I LOVE this site- very simple design, taggy, craigslisty. All things that work. I'd tighten up the upper left intro- play around with the fonts and what you want the viewer to focus on.

The name is great- it is perfectly self explanatory. Are there other sites that do this?

I haven't had the time to take a deeper look at the site, and I'm not going to review it now, I'm only writing to say that I like it and I have signed up. Good idea.

Ooh, that's not good! Can you tell me the parameters you used for your search (or just copy&paste the search url)? I need that to fix the problem. Thanks!
