My first attempt at a website

I use PSP8 to make the graphics and Dreamweaver to pull it all together.

Hi Daz,

Great first effort!

One thought is to try and make your tables look neater. They look even worse in Firefox. Also, try not to go too crazy with background images, they can look messy.

I didn't quite get what the site is about though.... Is it more of a personal homepage?

Looks super for the first attempt... many dont do it on their hundreds.

The spider man distracts though and hurts eyes.

Thanks for the replies much appreciated.

I really do appreciate the input specially with regards to Spidey giving it a bit of gip on the front page.....I will sort that out.

I haven't quite mastered the cross browser friendly capabilities as yet but I will work on it...(Do they really look squiffy in FF?).

Looking around here will help me no end and with the help of honest critisism and fingers pointing me in the right direction I can only go up hopefully.

I am only really used to editing style sheets in CSS for my board/Group so this is a leap into the dark somewhat

Ohhh......and Spidey shakes because I thought I might add some pazzazz to the page, not to everyones tastes.

For your first site it's not bad. If you're used to editing CSS for others, why not dump the tables and make your page with CSS and HTML ?? You'll save yourself a lot of work in maintainence and any redsign by going table-less

I like the design, though I think the blinking red lights need to go. It is rather tough to determine what the site is.

The contrast of the text on the rollover state on your menu isn't good at all. You can barely read the pink text on the button.

Overall I like the design, I just think you need to focus the site a bit so visitors know what it's there for, etc.

The site is really a site for people I know, people I am trying hard to get interested in graphics etc !

The site also contains some PSP pages with hotlinks and it's encrusted with the addy to my board just in case a passing stranger wanders past my castle
