Hello All,

I have just revamped my website and any feedback regarding any aspect of the site would be most appreciated.

Since the website sells to webmaster like yourselves, it is very important what you think, so please let me know through this post of by email on the website.

Thanks for any help!

Like the design, except this:

and this:

You should consider removing the images in the sidebars to make the site look "cleaner".

the gray dropshadow on the yellow text doesnt offer enough contrast. it's hard to read. the font color should be almost a black, or the dropshadow should be a LOT whiter.

Wow thanks for the feedback.

I know all to well abouth the sensor in forums (hence the format of the title of this thread!)

House of paign, you say to get a new domain name - do you really not like it or are you just making reference to the censor in forums?!

well, maybe not a new domain. i was just refering to the censors. but, besides that, you found a good, short domain.

Sorry, but as a webmaster I'm not impressed.
The design is ok, your code isn't.

Contrast on the side menu isn't good enough, gray on gray will be invisible to some people.

You've got an XHTML Transitional DOCTYPE - that means you MUST close ALL tags, including the meta tags.

It's tables -- 1997 technology. You use XHTML but you're writing with tables.. and you're not using your CSS for anything much at all.

Under XHTML ALL images must have the "alt" attribute. If the graphic is fluff, and not informational, use alt="", otherwise the alt needs to DESCRIBE the image, not just say "image" or some such. You're also using tags like <center> that are deprecated in HTML 4.01, let alone XHTML.

All that in-line styling... should be in an external file, it keeps your page weight down.. as does dumping the tables.

Good book you might consider....

Lol.. not trying to bash, just trying to make more people aware of and leave the dark side of designing pages with tables for layout. There really are significant advantages to NOT using tables this way and using proper, semantic markup.

You're on the right track with XHTML and some CSS.. you just need to take it all the way and update your coding.
