try getting your site listed on directories etc, this will help get your pr up and so forth getting more people to sell stuff on your site.

1) some images arent working.

2) design is way beyond appealing.

3) Lack of content

4) No contact us page offered

5) Lots of space wasted

Correct them

Good luck

Honestly speaking, why do you want your site to be listed in directories when its not ready yet?

1st make your site proper and content oriented and then think of submitting it to directories.

like i said before - evolving project - dont expect to be listed before the site is ready - visitors that find you will only move away again - they are not to know the site isn't finished and may not think to come back and check

i also noticed some graphics were missing as well as a few other things but realise now that you are still working on the site - look forward to reviewing later on when you are nearer completion and have more content - meantime the usefulness of these forums is to help you get to that stage with positive and helpful feedback

good luck at least you are headed in the right direction.

You just need to add more stuff to the side and remove all the flashy colors.

There's nothing wrong at all with the orange. It is a HUGE improvement over when I looked at the first time.. good job

If it were me I'd try to add a little bit of the blue in there.. maybe some visual interest in the background or at least some small graphic elements to pump it up a bit.

One funky thing I'd fix.. when you hover over the 'post an ad' button, it becomes underlined and because of that, the text on the rest of the page jumps up and down.

Keep going, it's improving !!

Anyone know CSS like the back of their hand? I set the links to become underlined when you hover over it. I have an image on http://www.houseofpaign.com/ that says "POST A FREE AD NOW!", but when you hover over it, it also underlines!

any ideas?

BTW, what images are broken? I checked the code and there are no "local" image addresses and all the images appear to load on Safari and FireFox for Mac.

what do you mean, "add more stuff to the side"? Like, make the page wider and add content to the sides?

it's not ugly but there is a lot of white empty space everywhere.
the small ad in the top doesn't look good.

A few things to start off
1. What is the site really about all i see is a stove for sale that looks like it was tortured and beaten.
2. The template reminds me of like putfile template or some sort. GET CREATIVE

Try to make it appealing to the eyes

I hate to say it, but your code is a MESS !
Forget the XHTML and drop back to HTML 4.01 Strict. You are breaking so many of the rules for XHTML it's not funny. The code itself is just not good HTML, sorry.

As for the underline on hover for the 'post an ad' button - create a class for the a:hover with 'text-decoration: none" and then add then speficy the class in your a href code.
