You don't really have much choice on fonts, better to stick with the common ones. Too many fonts is bad design.
Navigation is good, very consistent and easy to find.
Content is pretty good.
I don't have any issue with the fonts, though I'm not crazy about Times New Roman on the web, but that's a personal preference.
The purple/mauve is ok, but I think you might have too much with all the text being purple too. I'd make the headings purple, and leave the text as black, dark blue, or a dark grey perhaps. Get some contrast in there. That will make the headings stand out from the text more.
I agree on the graphics. If you're going to update it, add some graphical elements, doesn't have to be photos, though if ya got 'em, use a couple.
My only other criticism.. is that it's tables. If you're going to update, convert it to CSS, you'll be glad you did. It'll lighten page weight (allowing for those graphics), your pages will load faster, and you'll save a TON of time on maintenance and updates  .
