wedding website for your review

I am posting my website here because you guys are the one's offering your professional opinions on stuff not thought of by my bridal couples. Please offer any opinions on my wedding planning website www.weddingmuseum.com It's been up for 3 years now but I am always looking for improvements.

Actually for what it is it does its job well.

PRO:
1. All your main page links are in an organized and efficent layout.

2. Users can instantly tell this is a wedding web site and won't secound guess the content.

3. No visual html/css errors that i can tell (im using firefox to view your site)

CON:
1. Maybe vary up the colors for the containing boxes a bit. A large percent of the page is outlined in the same shade pf purple. I suggest varing the colors on each section up a bit to help your users sort between the types of information your site offers.

2. Graphically the layout is kind of bland(however this may not be a con considering bandwidth issues). If bandwidth is not an issue, add a few "wow thats a cool graphic" images such as wedding collages and gradiant fills to make the site look more professional.

First, I don't really like the fonts. Small and dull. It's the same throughout the whole page. Maybe, it's just me

. However, it's easy to navigate.

You don't really have much choice on fonts, better to stick with the common ones. Too many fonts is bad design.

Navigation is good, very consistent and easy to find.
Content is pretty good.

I don't have any issue with the fonts, though I'm not crazy about Times New Roman on the web, but that's a personal preference.

The purple/mauve is ok, but I think you might have too much with all the text being purple too. I'd make the headings purple, and leave the text as black, dark blue, or a dark grey perhaps. Get some contrast in there. That will make the headings stand out from the text more.

I agree on the graphics. If you're going to update it, add some graphical elements, doesn't have to be photos, though if ya got 'em, use a couple.

My only other criticism.. is that it's tables. If you're going to update, convert it to CSS, you'll be glad you did. It'll lighten page weight (allowing for those graphics), your pages will load faster, and you'll save a TON of time on maintenance and updates

for some of the links you have used underlines while for some, you have not used. that can be confusing.

i dont know the exact name of that color for the text, but i think, you have used it too much.

it will be nice to use color image ( right side bride) rather than a black and white.

i think, the font size for the cities in "Find Local Wedding Vendors" is smaller. it may be better to maintain a consistent font size throughout the webpage.

design is very nice and the site is attractive.

This is a very interesting website, and was well designed. Having said that, I have a couple of suggestions... The website to me, seems a bit... Crowded... I would suggest a more graphical layout, which gives the website that extra "something" and at the same time brings better organization to the website.

i found some of the fonts a bit small to read also the color was a bit hard on the eyes after a while but on the whole i thought it was a good site

I agree -- I think the text need to be mixed with some images-- to break it up a bit as it can be slightly overwhelming.

I agreet hat the fonts are a bit small and it could use a lot more picutres since it's called a museum.

I like it. It looks like you put a lot of work and effort into the designing of the website and also the content. Tons of content.
