I love your use of colors and the images are fantastic- the site over all is very interesting. The only problem I see is the way your text wraps for your articles. Words are just chopped off wherever and dropped to the next line with out a dash or anything.

Your colour scheme is great, although not exactly what I expected it to be, it does fit with the theme of your site. The red, oranges, yellows and beige all go really well together and do give off the theme of old-style China, and the orient. Yet your main images, where your navigation is, also shows us modern China as well. It's a brilliant frontpage

The navigation is clear, simple to use and intuitive. I like the way that the forum still features on every page, yet, it seems to be relevant.

My only complaint would be that it loads rather slowly for me, but I'm in the UK so it may be server lag.

The site is very nice, informative and the color scheme is very good. Great content.

That being said, under the hood your site has some problems. It does not validate. The validator says you have 167 errors !! Most of these are a cascade from the intial error - the & in the MetaTag is not allowed.

Of course by now people should know that I do not like tables and designers should be moving forward away from tables for layout. All those tables make your page load times much slower. Tables are also bad for accessibility, something all designers need to be aware of.

only if they don't make sense when linearised and are too deeply nested are they *necessarily* bad for accesibility, though of course you should be divs/other for layout anyway

Ok, I should have clarified - tables for LAYOUT are "bad". Tables should ONLY be used for data - it's what they were actually meant for

I really like the site.

My only suggestion is to make the banner flash loop once then stop at the end of the time frame. Some people might not enjoy the constant "flashing"

Excellent site. The colours suit the content perfectly and the layout is very accessible. I think the moving banner is a little distracting, particularly with the scrolling messages on either side of the main screen but otherwssie think this is a great job and a site that I would want to investigate further if I came across it while surfing.
