Review AnmarTech please

Hi. This is the second time I'm asking to review my site. The first time was in March or April when I built it with a template...I just had to add text. I was still in school so I got vacation last month and started working on it again...not using a template though. This is my first website, it is a tech site as you can see the name suggests, offering news, reviews and tips, more features will be added later. More content needs to be added. What do you think? Constructive criticism is accepted.

For a site that is merely in the works in my opinion it looks great. I really love the feel of the website as soon as i visit the page, it just makes me wana stay there. I think more features on how you offer the news and how to seperate the most important from the normal news will help your site become better. Also i did go to view your forum and i noticed that u have no members at all... i think that a site like yours would be much better if it involved its members with its forums which would develop a community establishing a strong relations with your visitors making them return for daily news and tech help... anyways i hope that helps... good luck with your site bro.

Thanks for the feedback. The forum isn't up and running yet, still under construction like the main site. Should be complete in a week or 2.

I think it's a bit too text-heavy. There are 70 headlines on the front page.

I really like the top buttons in your forum (staff/login/register/etc.) -- they look good and they're clean. But the ads right below the buttons make the site look ghetto. The ads don't blend, and the plain gray background is uninspiring.

My suggestion would be to copy the style of your forum buttons over to the rest of the site. Try to get a more uniform layout. Try to incorporate the ads in a way that doesn't blow apart the design you're working on. Good luck!

I agree with Tony and his "text-heavy" comment. It looks a little messy IMHO. Everything else looks good.

Ditto on the too much text. Highlight the 'top ten' or something then make the rest normal content links with blurbs.

I'm not overly crazy about the gray and white color scheme, seems kinda blah.. but then I like colors anyway.

now google ads are on both the sides of the main content.
limit them to one side only and see the how it will be.
include more images to make it lively and less boring.
images catch the visitor's eyes more than the textual content.
overall the site looks good

The forum isn't finished yet. The chitika ads are better as they are image based. Thanks for the replys.

what everyone else has said and:

Maybe its just me. But on your home page the navigation bar has square corners to the left home end and rounded corners on the right search end.

Also on the article page the rounded corners on the right magically become sqaure corners.

Its a small but noticable graphical issue.
