The colors are definitely a site for baby-related stuff.

I only have a couple of comments.
The dark yellow/gold links at the top left of the page are a little tough to read. I'd use either a darker color or something lighter that stands out more.

The baby image on the home page.. see if you can clean up that white matting on it. It'll look much cleaner without it.

Lastly, looking at your code you've done a great job. My only comment there would be to avoid using multiple <br>'s to space your text. Use <p> and margins in your CSS for that. I'd also take out the in-line styles and put them in your external CSS file.

very nice and suitable for the topic of your site.
a peculiar thing i noticed is:
i viewed your site in firefox. when i move my mouse over the navigation,
an image of a boy is flashing.
also when i move the cursor over the links at the bottom, the google ads beside are flashing.

Firstly thanks for your post. It's interesting that you have a browser issue with Firefox. I'm running 1.5.0.3, which version are you running?

You're right about the image; well spotted!

Like you, I hate to use tables; CSS is so compact. I must be dumb, but I've never been able to work with Dreamweaver in layout mode successfully. I can't make changes at a later stage.

The CSS tips are very useful. Thanks again, must go now as baby is crying.

I wouldn't say you're dumb.. I don't ever use DW in layout mode. Even though I have DW 8, I do all my CSS in TopStyle.

BTW, I'm using FF 1.5.03 also and I'm not seeing any funny flashing babies or ads.

i am using firefox 1.0.7.
view it in this version of the browser and you will notice the disturbance when you move your mouse over the bottom links etc..

1. Blue works really well as a color base.

2. Clean site layout. Nothing to distracting.

3. Useful sidebars.

Layout wise i might suggest a better banner... but i really do like the site as it is.

Very nice site. Pleasant colour scheme and very calming style that perfectly fits the site content. Having gone through the experience of having children myself I would have appreciated a resource like this at the time with excellent links, advice and nice shared stories. Well done!
