Hello all, I recently launched a site that is in beta. It is http://www.lobbr.com. The site allows users to post various items and then vote on virtually all aspects of it. It is written in Ruby on Rails, so currently it is in beta. If you would like to stick around and test it for a while, register soon as beta is limited. Also, right now it is only open to sports, the other categories will open after beta ends.

The green seems to be a tad too bright. Seems an interesting concept though. Different.

First i want to applause you. The domain name its great. It's real nice brand name.
navigation its good, but u must change color scheme. Use another color like sky blue and orange.

thanks for the input. I am definitely going to change the colors. Ive been meaning to do that for the last week or so, but bugs popped up and I ran out of time. Ill probably get it done better tonight.

I am definitely going to switch the gradient at the top to be much lighter and unobtrusive. What other colors do you recommend switching?

im not so sure about the navigation, its too simple.
the color boxes in both left and right do not match the color blue the the header.
plus i think theres too much item in the main page. people usually hate to scroll too long below. i suggest you put maybe 5 to 10 item and have people a way to click on the next items.
nice idea though!

I made some pretty big changes to the layout and colors. Can someone else take a quick look at it and weigh in on if you think it is pretty good now. I will probably do another tweaking session a month or so from now, but I am interested in if this is suitable for now giving the age (few days) of the site.

Also, do any of you have any interesting marketing ideas that could possibly get me some repeat visitors?
