Hey Guys,
It would be greatly appreciated if you could review my site, colours, layout, images etc.
There is currently no content (reviews wise) so please don't mark me down on that.

Hi bloodshot,
Welcome to the forums. I think you'll enjoy your stay here. Feel free to give your opinions on other's sites while we look yours over.
Here's a quick review. I looked at your site and my eyes are bloodshot from staring at the top bar.......but I really like it!
A couple of quick comments though....the poll takes you to a page with no navigation off of it without the back button. Maybe not finished there yet? Is that a custom 404?
Hmm, several links do the same. I would suggest a link back to the main site from the forum.
The copyright bar is smaller than the other table. That might not be bad, but it might look better being the same size.
I like the layout and colors. IMO, blues and greys are techie type colors. The title is small enough that you could put a banner advertisement in the same box if desired. I don't think that would be bad if you do.
I saw something I didn't understand. The first time on the comments page, the comments submission box was left justified. Came back later and it was centered. Came back later and it was left, left a comment, and now it's centered all the time. Was that a glitch of my browser?
Looks like to me that it's gonna' be a nice site! I didn't give a number rating on it thus far, only because it's incomplete and the number would reflect that. But for layout, images, etc, so far, I like it.
Dave

Hey,
Dave:: Thanks for your comments, they really do help when it comes to web design =). As for the header, thanks =). Took me a while to think that one up, but i think it suits the site quite well.
The polls, the links etc. will take you to the default index.html page. I haven't actually finished the site yet, so i am not setting the defualt page to index.php untill i have.
I forgot the link back to the home page from the forums, thanks for that. I am having trouble with the footer. I am using php includes on the left and right navigation which is causing the size of the table's to vary. I think that i have now fixed this, keeping them to one specific size. I hope to sort the footer out at a later date.
Where you say "the title", what do you mean? The flash I presume, but could you just elaborate a bit on that...? That would be great =)
As for the comments page... lol. I have no clue whats up with that, seems weird. But i don't think it will cause much of a problem. If i get some more problems i will look into it.
Thanks for your time, and I will start to contribute to some of the reviews as of now.
Best Regards.
Bloodshot.

Your title, OurTechWorld.com, is small enough that if you wanted to make it justifed left, you could always add a banner to the right. I really don't think you need an ad there, but it could be added.
IMO, you could try making it a little larger. It might take some experimenting to see if a larger size would look better.
I don't think the submission box on the comments page will cause problems.......but that is strange.
Keep up the good work. And your comments will be appreciated.
Dave

Your site have a pleasant appearance in general.
I would consider making the icons at the products section smaller, and also making them rollover if you plan to make links out of them.
The top banner is nice, but after staying in your site for a few minutes, the animation becomes annoying. If you make it animate, then stop the animation after a few seconds I think it would be better.

Hi! My 2 cents, for what it's worth. Okay, here goes! I really like the banner/logo. I think the icons would look nice a little smaller, as mentioned above, but they don't look bad now. Your idea of having a product of the week is a great idea. Great way to get repeat visitors. One suggestion, if you will be trying to sell stuff, I hope your colorful language isn't as colorful if you know what I mean. Not that I am an angel, but if you are trying to sell something, some may shy away, just because of some of the thoughts, ideas, wording, you may or may not use. Anyway, back to more positives...I like the recommended options, very useful, once finished. I am very interested in revisiting this site to see the additions you've worked on. On a personal note, what type of voluntary jobs are people are you looking for to do with the site.

Hey Guys,
Stateofbliss:: Thanks for your comments, like always they are very useful. Now onto your points:
I think that making the small images on the product side a little smaller would be good idea, they seem to take up too much space. The language that i used on the first headline was basically just me saying something to the co-owner of the site. Thats going to be either edited or deleted at a later date.
It's great that you are interested in the site and we are very thankful of your comments. We are currently looking for people to do some reviews for some items (laptops, cd players, desktop computers, blah, blah, blah). If you are intertested then please visit the site and fill out the job application.
rbester:: Again, thanks for the comments. Like i said above, i think it would be a good idea to change then icons and make them smaller, but i don;t think we will be making them roll-overs because we were thinking of using the actual text for the link. The header... hmmm... I am not sure, there have been acouple of people saying what you suggested about making it stopp looping after a two turns or so. I may have to tihnk about that one.
Dave:: Thanks, i understand you now =) I was looking for somewhere to put the banner ad, but i am currently stuck for somewhere to put one. I may have to considor your proposal of putting it next to the "our tech world.com".
Thanks again to all of you.
Best Regards,
Bloodshot.

Looks good in general.
I don't like:
a) Borders in pictures. They look "cut-off"
b) Flash on the top. Very simple. No purpose. Better use Animated GIfs
c) Bottom table. It doesn't fit with main table.

Hey,
Coldfusion::
Point::
a) I can't see anything wrong with the borders on the images. Anyone else see a problem? If so I will change it.
b) I like the flash at the top, and so do a lot of other people and because of that i am going to keep it.
c) This has been brought up quite a few times and I am currebtly working on it.
Best Regards,
Bloodshot.
