Hi useratl,

I think I'll always have opinions. Congrats on your first site.

The appearance is nice. You might add more colors later on. The pic of the limo might be a good pic for your index page since it is a limo service too. To draw more attention to your toll free number, you can list it as (877) 461-LIMO and put the numbers 5466 in parenthesis.

This is just a thought for something to try some time, but you could make a red side bar on the pages (not index). The width would be the same as the red square with the phoenix and star.

I suggest moving the limo pic on this page, http://www.phoenixstarga.com/services/limo.htm, to the right column. It presently changes the size of your left column.

Functionality is good. I didn't find any broken links or bugs.

I rate the site a 6.

Dave

First, this is my first post, I joined about five minutes ago. I hope my input comes across as helpful as that is how it is intended. On to the review... Your content is good, if I had this much real content I would actually post my site for review! Unfortunately, the site is difficult to read. First of all, IMO it is nice to keep the same page layout throughout the site unless there is a really good reason to deviate. With that in mind I would change the home page to use the same navigation on the left as the rest of the site. Secondly, and more importantly, red text is very hard to read. Use it sparingly to draw attention to the most important parts of your site. Same thing for bold, italics, and any other font decorations. By making everything bold, italicized, or centered, you defeat the purpose of decorating the text - it no longer stands out from the crowd. I always try to stick to one or two font styles and only decorate when I can really justify it. I think if you make all of your text the same size and weight and use a more traditional color it will be much easier to read. It will also appear much more professional. For your first site, it shows a lot of potential. Hand coded, too! Ultra-Edit is my best friend
Hope that helps,

I wanted to thank everyone for their input and suggestions.

I've been a slacker, and away for awhile . . . that's partly because of bad experiences on other review sites. This is the first place I've even gotten a review! You guys get big kudos'!

The reason I use so much red text is our logo is yellow and red. I thought it was an appropriate idea, and I have wondered about the red text, but I'm not sure what else I should do.

I have to admit, I continue to go round and round about the homepage. I keep changing it and wanting to change it, because, as I know, there's so much on it. I'm not sure how to break down categories, and still not have people miss out on the fact that some info they're after IS present on the site.

Thanks for the compliment on my content. That's my biggest driving force, besides making it not too flashy, for impaired users, and ones with maybe most basic equipment. As I type, I'm heavily researching the next huge aspect, which will incorporate local history and highlights. Fun, but work!

And, trying to keep from being deleted off this board, thus the huge post. It's hard to keep up with everything one does on the net . . .
