Would any one be so kind as to review the updated site www.karmacolors.co.uk
This is a specialised subject so I would not expect every one to know what Aura Photography is.

Thanks for any comments in advance. Ray.

Hi,

I must admit I don't know much about the subject - but I'll try my best:

1) the website is pretty neat and easy to understand
2) looks professional, but maybe you should try and improve the logo
3) maybe add a gallery with more photos ?
4) the photo on the left-hand side of the front page seems odd (wrong proportions ?)
5) for search engine optmisation, maybe you should add a bit more text ?

Hope this helps !

Thanks again, Ray.

hi Ray,

Wow, interesting concept.
The site does not look very professional and considering that you guys are projecting yourself as fotographers you definitely need to improve some of the fotos in there : ) other that that i think its all fine.

Thanks Ashish, the problem with some of the photo's is that they are not Digital, they are Polaroid, and when scanned they do lose a bit of quality, I could touch them up but then it would be noticeable and I don't want to give a false impression to prospective clients as to what they might expect. I have seen other Aura web-sites and to me it is quite clear that they have over done the pictures. ( Maybe it's just me being too fusy )

Ray.

Hey man, i think there is a lot of potential there. Perhaps you should re do this site in flash? Flash is great for websites dealing with this type of content.

Some of the photographs, like the first on the left seems distorted. Perhaps its me.

The current design seems a bit corporate for the subject matter. The aura thing is cool, but it seems like it could be different.

When I first got in the site, i did not know what it was. It just does not speak photography or aura photos.

Hi Greggy, thanks for your comments, I have checked the site and all the graphics seem to be ok, could you be more specific as to which ones are not appearing for you ? cheers, Ray.

Scorch, thanks too for your comments,

Apart from Having Aura Photography mentioned more than once and a Aura Photo on Home page can you suggest any other way I can get people to know what the site is about ?
I look forward to your idea's
Thanks, Ray.

Hi Ray,
Very interesting subject and a very interesting website. However, it does need some redesign work to become an effective tool for people to understand what it is you do. As an 'artsy' type of website i.e. aura photo's, I think it needs a specific color-theme with more dramatic colors and certainly improved photo's, since that's your primary business. Your Home Page could reveal more information on what exactly aura photography is all about and what you do. Some of the text could be taken from your About page as well as your Aura Party page, just rewritten a bit to entice the reader to want to read more.

Also, on your Aura Party page, you talk about it as a "workshop" more than a "party", so why not call it what it is? It's either a Workshop or it's a Party. A bit of confusion there.

I think you've already laid the groundwork out as far as information goes now you just need to tweak it a bit and organize it more to make it more effective and provide your visitors with more information on what you can do for them.

Just my 2 cents,
DianeD

Hi Diane, thanks very much for your input, you have made some valid points which I will put to the owner of karmacolors and see if she will agree to some if not all of your idea's.
Thanks again for your 2 cents.
Ray.

Hey,

The information is not so well structured and the choice of colours is not one of my favourite
Try make it more compact.
