Greetings everybody!

I just put up a thread introducing myself in the New Members area, but I thought I'd post here to get some help and make an offer as well.

I have created a new service called LinkFacts which may be of interest to the webmaster community. It is up and running at http://www.linkfacts.com

I'll try to keep the rest short. LinkFacts is a professional level link tracking service. I'd like to ask for a site review on it, but more than that, I'd like to give out some free 3-month accounts to those who would like to help me test the service. I need feedback on the usability and statistics mostly, but of course any feedback is welcome

If you think you could use this service and want a free 3-month account, all I ask is that you give me your feedback after you've signed up and played with it for awhile. I'll give away 3 of these accounts. If you have no need for a link tracking service, please don't ask for the free account... I'm interested in a review of the usability, so you need to use it! If you're interested, send me an email at webmaster@_NO__SPAM_linkfacts.com (you know what to do with that ) and then I'll start you out. (If you just want to try it out, there are free trial accounts as well, you don't have to email me for those, just sign up). First come, first serve!

Thanks in advance!

On your page (in the pricing section) it says:

- 1 month package - price: $14.95
- 3 months package - price: $11.95

... are you sure? You have to pay more for 1 month than for 3 months of service?

I don´t think anyone would buy a 1 month package

Ha ha!

That should be price/month. I'll get that fixed. This is why I need a site review

Thanks!

yeah no problem, you´re welcome

I really thought so, because in the column where it says "3months" there´s written in smaller font "$3.98/month".... confusing

You really need to fix the whole pricing page

There, that's a little better. It's all dynamically calculated based on a couple of settings... I was just using the wrong constant. Oops! Thanks for pointing that out.

Hi Elemental,

The colors of your site really do not match very well at all. The white, purple, green, blue, and black just don't appeal to me. I recommend that you first pay attention to your color scheme.

The navigation bar needs to be much more prominent. It's tucked away in the corner, right above an ad. I thought it was an ad when I first saw it! Overall, it isn't very attractive, and the mouseover effects look awkward, at best.

Your logo is good, although it could be improved. The best element of your design is the "Member login" box. The gradient inside those textboxes look wonderful!

The explanations on your website are very articulate and easy-to-understand for a "newbie". They sound a bit tacky though, and users aren't really comfortable when they feel like they are being "pushed" into buying something.

Good work!

I think mabye a larger border for your navigation table would make it stand out better.

The main thing i'd say needs looking at is the pricing page, you need to fix the font inside the tables because i'm sorry to say it doesn't look very nice like that

Some good elements though, i like the gradient also, and the main logo looks quite good.

I hope it does well

Thanks for the suggestions. Loon, you're right about that font... I've been viewing things in "smaller" view in IE, and when I switch to medium it's a whole different story.

I'll fix it up a bit tomorrow and work on some of the text. Thanks again!
