Just writing to ask if someone could review my church's site that I have created. I am extremely new to this and want it to be nice looking, but load quickly and have lots of good information. I.E. a little less emphasis on the graphics, but if anyone has some good ideas, I would love to hear them. The site is http://www.standrew.waukesha.wi.us/

Okay, I'm back again.

About your site:

Well, it works and meets its purpose. However, there is lots you can do to try and improve your site.

I see you use frames. I would avoid frames if possible. I think I wrote why I didnt like them in another thread. It is not that they look bad, but because they can be a pain for a couple of reasons.

The "Web page by Alcourt" link does not work.

I would think about adding a little more color and maybe some pictures to help spice it up a little.

Using Tables will help you with your layout.

Here is a couple examples sites you may want to take a look at and maybe try and design your site in a similiar layout or fashion or find some more content:

I understand that you probably would not be able to design similiar graphics, but a redesign with some colors, a few pics and maybe a modified layout would not be to hard.

Here's some more IMO's for you Skirnir Hamilto.

The appearance is nice and simple. Simple is not bad, but there might be a few things to help it. I suggest that you make the navigation buttons slightly smaller and it wouldn't be necessary to scroll to see them on an 800x600. Of course, I don't recommend frames, but you have used them well. There was a horizontal scroll on the Write Us page due to form.

You have a nice drawing (pin and ink?) of the building on the locations page. That would also make a nice pic with the title which currently has a large space. And it might also make a nice background for all of your pages. More colors might help.

Functionality is good. Only a couple of links that need fixed. Load time is good. The red links on the main page are hard to read on the blue background. On the navigation menu, be sure to put your most important links at the top.

Overall and content matches telling about your church. Technical, I didn't find any errors there.

I rate this as a high 6. Extremely new? Well, keep up the good work.

I really like your site. It's clean, uncomplicated, and very easy to surf through. I like the drawing of the church. I think it is perfect for it's purpose of information, and no unnecessary stuff!
