Hello Everyone,

This is my first attempt at a business website, PlanetHacker.Com . I am looking for reviews of the functionality, packages / prices, and overall look and feel.

Any advice, suggestions, and any tips on sparking forums activity would be much appreciated.

I LOVE it!! Great layout, great navigation.... excellent work!

I've found that with forums you just have to let people know it's there. Put the link to the forum as your sig. on other forums you visit so that every time you post, others will see the link and maybe follow it. Forum population seems to be a word-of-mouth kind of thing. Also put it into some major search engines like Google so that people may come across it when doing searches

Its a bit on the heavy side for images. You might want to cut down on them a bit

Your "Get your first 30 days of webhosting free" image is pixilated a bit. Also in the navigation, 'Domain Names' is a different font and color.

As for forum activity - There are many webmaster forums out there, its an over saturated market. Try to find something unique to focus on.

Agreed with cjvj, you might also considering setting your tables to percents so it fits to any resolution.

This screams as Template Monster and if I'm not wrong in another forum, somebody even proved it.

Anyway ... you need to work the alignments a bit more. Some stuff looks like it has been dropped from the plane. Also: Times New Roman is a big no no. Arial, Verdana, Tahoma (i get tired to write this all over again, but this is how you'll learn), make links change colour on mouse hover and work the template some more. The design stuff looks OK, but where you had to change stuff it looks like you are still learning. The more well blended the theme looks in some parts, the more undeveloped it looks where you could make the changes.

Don't get upset and remember I'm not here to offend you. If I had, I apologise. But the idea is you need to work the Details. They can make the change between a mediocre site or an awesome one. We can't say we reinvent the wheel here, but we can surelly convince by working everything in the smallest detail.

Keep us posted on the changes

I don't like the idea of the menu right in the middle of the banner. It looks way out of place. Nothing seems to flow very well. I'm somewhat confused when I look at the page.

I really like the website. The colorscheme you have choosen is great. As far as the forum is concerned, I must say, that the style does not really fit with the rest of the page. It looks sort of outdated.

Keep up the good work

the elements on this site dont seem to blend well together....

1) you seem to be using a variety of different fonts all over the site. keep to verdana or something similar.
2) a number of the images are extremely pixelated
3) why is the domain names button different from the others?
4) the hosting page is too long!
5) the "Latest News" header on the left is not clear

just a few things i noted that should help the site improve in its appearance! I hope it help you. Good Luck!
